Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

fast food contests

I have a winning game piece from a contest but the prize is not specified on the piece. It is my contention that this is the grand prize winning piece. What type of attorney do I need to fight the Company if they say otherwise?

Re: fast food contests

What type of attorney do you need here? Well a civil litigation attorney is a good start, and someone that is familar with contracts, especially commercial ones, as noted, is the area of the law you're in here.

Normally, as someone else noted, the prize is not listed on the game piece, but is rather noted in conjuction with the game rules. You need to follow their claim procedures and get a rejection before you fight them stating it is not the grand prize.

I hope this helps -- but if you have other questions, please feel free to email or call anytime.

You need a tough trial lawyer. I have won my last 48 civil trials in a row. Have they denied the validity of the piece? What's the prize?

Re: fast food contests

you need an attorney who specializes in business contracts as the game is a contract between the company and the public. Good luck

Re: fast food contests

Often the game pieces in these contests are too small to contain the kind of information you describe. The contest rules, which are normally displayed in the participating restaurants, specify what prize corresponds to what piece.

Have you checked to see what the rules say you won? Why do you believe you have the grand prize winning piece, and why do you think the company will dispute it? Something doesn't make sense here.
