February 21 I look into moving company . I got several quotes and Five Stars Van Line was the lowest at thousand .To move my things to Virginia Beach ,Va from San Diego, Ca. Ask if that was the price and hidden fee . The sale representive (Carrie) was nice and said yes and gave them my credit card information to reserved my spot . She told me that pay when get to you . I ask if Thursday, February 25 is good and she told me that my things will arrival be Saturday , March 6 th . I had my things in a public storage and few things needed to be box . I felt that things going smooth and time frame 2 - 4 pm on Thursday . I have family members to unlock the unit and look if they was boxing the items . I get a call on Monday , March 1 st from another sale representive (Joushatan) telling me that my estimate will be $ 2101.00 because I have more items . I ask what happen to $1000. 00 they gave me some kind of reason that my items are very high price things and need extra padding and need extra care . I ask to spoke to supervior (John) . He call me back and tell me if I don't pay him what was ask that they auction off my items . He told me that have lawyers on line and does this for living .We go back and forward and came off the price $1900.00 . He tell me to go to his bank. Bank of America and account number and put $1300.00 in cashier check and other one $600.00 also in cashier check total of $1900.00 . I know that this is a long story but I do not have my things and told me on Wednensday, March 3 rd it was on the truck and they will gave me a tracking number . NO call from the company and no tracking number . Then been leaving messages no ask . Today , Tuesday , March 9 th some sale rep. (Racheal) call me and tell me that my things are not on truck and will be here next Wednesday . My question is that should I the custmer pay them the other cashier check $600.00 when they come with my things .

You should contact the local police department and tell them you suspect they will come wtih the furniture and then refuse to give you your furniture without your paying more than the total of $1,900. They may say that it is a civil action and they can not do anything. Contact the appropriate state agency that regulates moving companies and see what they can do. Try to avoid giving any additional money as the original contract was for $1,000 and you also incurred additional expenses for storage fees and the aggravation of not having your things on time. Have a video camera available and take down their names and the license plate of the truck.
