It's not clear what you are looking for. I'm assuming that you are looking for a statute, and not an assembly bill or senate bill. California's statutes are broken into categories, called "codes." For example, statutes that govern criminal law are mostly found in the Penal Code. There is a Civil Code, a Code of Civil Procedure, and an Evidence Code. You are going to have to be more specific.
