Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

fraud

Two years ago my son and his girlfriend used my phone card without permission. I just found out about it two weeks ago. The phone company wants to shut off my phone because of this old phone bill. Even though they were minors at the time can't they be charged with fraud, etc. now? I know that a am responsible for his bills as a minor. But both of them knew what they were doing at the time. My son was six months short of his 18th birthday and his girlfriend was one and a half years away from hers. My son gave his girlfriend the number while we were in florida and she was in california. The amount is about $200 dollars but that is not the point. I did not give him the number. He somehow found out what it was. What they both did was illegal and I want to know what I can do about it.

Re: fraud

You could do two things. You could report the card use as a theft and you could go to small claims court for the money.
