Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

gender fraud

I am a man that was deceived by a transsexual into believing his gender was female.

Believing that he was a woman, I had a casual sexual relationship with this person.

I feel my rights have been violated. I am traumatized as a result of this incident. Is there any legal action I can take against this individual ?

Can I report this incident to the police ?

try the police but i dont know if it is a crime or not. you could sue for intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Can you take legal action? Sure, you might have facts to support a case based on fraud, misrepresentation, and deception.

But consider also: is the embarassment of a public court case going to help your situation or help it? And, keeping in mind that a civil court can only award you monetary compensation for any losses you have, can you collect anything from this person?

This may also be a crime, depending on the facts. You should report a crime to the police, who will decide whether or not to file charges, and for what.
