Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
General question regarding location jurisdiction. If I have a lawsuit against me, say in state A (because I currently live there) and say I move to state B, would the lawsuit in state A go away, considering the following factors: Alleged incidents occurred in a different state (state C) many years ago, and the only reason why the plaintiff was able to pursue suing me in state A was because of location jurisdiction, i.e. I currently live in state A. Let's also say that the current lawsuit hasn't gotten to depositions yet, etc.

Once jurisdiction has been established your relocation is not going affect it.
Once you have been lawfully served with process in a state, that state has jurisdiction over you until the case concludes. Moving isn't going to change that.
You really think the laws would be written so you could get out of a lawsuit that easily? Please.
