Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I heard that all official documents, court documents, etc must be signed by a human being to be valid. Is this correct?

Well how else would a document get signed, if not by a human? Last I checked, tree squirrels couldn't sign checks. You need to be a little more specific in your question, you are dancing around something.

Now a days electronic signatures and other forms of validation are accepted in all Federal courts and a great many CA counties. In fact in Federal courts e-filing with a registered e-filing account is mandatory for all attorneys and using the registered account log-in and password constitutes the signature.
