Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Hi,

If I have filed a complaint, which included two separate events and causes of actions which are directed at one defendant, but now I have amended the complaint, to exclude one cause of action, can I file a separate complaint which addresses the other cause of action and event.

You can't split your cause of action. Why would you have two separate lawsuits?
