Homeowners Association Responsibilities

Our HOA received a lawsuit over 8 months ago and has not notified the members. Is this a violation of California law and if so, what Section.

Please review your homeowner assoc. documents for a detailed answer. The associations seem to thrive on deception and double dealing-at least that is my experience. Be sure to hold them accountable and express your sentiments at the next meeting.

I assume that the lack of notification may be due to the fact that this is either a small claims court action or one that is covered by insurance. Are you on the Board of Directors. Please fax or e-mail me with the particulars if you want to seek any type of action.
