Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

My housing complex dad a night security patrol when I moved in and was one of the Amenities, They stopped the service and did not notify anyone . My apart was robbed at night and I lost some property,can I hold them responceable

You can sue them, but most likely would not win. The trend in the cases has been to limit liability to landowners for the intervening and superseding acts of unknown and unforeseeable criminals.
