Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

my husband and myself have been remolding a home and the plan was we got 25 dollars a day. we been here for 1 year we live in the garage and the home owner pays the electric and water about 200 a month. last week he stopped paying us and today called and said we had to move or he would evict us. we had agreed to a couple things when we started a car when we finished the house and a place for us to stay on the back of the property and help getting a handyman/construction company going and be (partners) in april we where told that we where getting 5 dollars more a day (never happened) and there where so many issues i could write a book we have nothing no credit no cash no food can someone please help email me [email protected] we are at a lost and willing to accept any advice piont us tn the RIGHT direction please!
