Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Injury from being hand-cuffed too long
I was arrested at my home then hand-cuffed and transported to a police station where I was then sat down in a chair and hand-cuffed behind my back, around the chair for approx.eight hours. I was then hand-cuffed and transported to another station. After I was released, I went to emergency and found that I had swolen wrists and my mobility was restricted on both wrists. Can I be compensated for being hand-cuffed so long? My wrists have not been the same since.
