Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
A is in an intimate relationship with B. A and B are engaged but not married. A takes B to shop for a car. A purchases a vehicle for B, pays cash. There is no discussion about re-payment, or ownership. A titles the vehicle in both A's and B's name. A and B have an on-again, off-again relationship for another year. B registers and drives the vehicle, pays for maintenance. A and B briefly co-habitate for 3 month prior to their planned marriage. However, due to personal differences, A and B do not get married. B moves out in September 2012. In January, A contacts B demanding the vehicle back. All of this occurs exclusively in the State of Colorado. Based on the above information, can you determine the legal ownership of the vehicle?
