Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
We have a judgement for back wages through the laborboard, against a corporation, that has sold all its assest before we even went to the hearing. we have found out that the corporations status has been suspended long before our lawsuit. can we now sue the officers of the corporation, and if so which ones and how would we go about it?

If the assets were sold to defraud creditors you may be able to sue the officers of the corporation by piercing the corporate viel. How much is the judgement for? This will be a lenghty process!

You might also be able to go after the entity that "purchased" the assets on a variety of theories, including conspiracy for fraudulent conveyance; it would also be important to examine the documentation of the purchase to determine whether liabilities were assumed as well.
As Mr. Michie suggests, this is not an easy or quick avenue. You should consult an attorney for advice; depending on the size of the judgment, you might be able to retain an attorney on a contingency fee basis.
