Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Need help with Latin legal terminology
At a recent deposition, an attorney said what I believe to be a Latin phrase sounding something like ''sausis duces sausa ganda'' or ''gandra.'' I am having a hard time looking up the phrase. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark with:
"subpoena duces tecum"
Re: Need help with Latin legal terminology
Subpoena duces tecum? (a subpoena issued by the court requiring a witness to bring to court or a deposition relevant documents under that witnesses control)

What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander?
Re: Need help with Latin legal terminology
I think the other lawyer probably had a speech impediment. I think it's "what's good for the goose is good for the gander."
