Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
can a lawsuit settlement (anywhere from $4,000 to $10,000) be given in cash? or does it have to be given by check?

The law does not require that a settlement be paid in a certain form. Any settlement in cash, however, should require a signed receipt as proof of payment.
