Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Need A Lawyer

My son was working in San Diego with a Tax Company he was attacked by his employer. My son has a police report and she did go to jail the same night. There is also a notarized general agreement stating his employment with the company. We feel he was wrongfully terminated due to a personal relationship. There are several other problems with this case and we need to seek legal advise on these matter. What kind of lawyer do we need and who do we contact.

Re: Need A Lawyer

Your son needs an attorney that deals with employment law. I suggest starting with the attorney referral service of the San Diego County Bar Association at (619) 231-8585.

Re: Need A Lawyer

I would start by getting your son any urgently needed medical attention. Then, I would consult a workers' compensation attorney (possibly by contacting the San Diego branch of the California Applicants' Attorneys Association (CAAA)). His is a combination workers' compensation / personal injury / employment law matter, but I would start with the "comp" case as it is the easiest to win.
