legal right to lein

can i put a lein on the house my wife has from our divorce ? she owes 15ooo

and won`t pay me even though i have a note for the payment , she does not want to pay me...

To get a lein you must first sue her on the note and get a judgment.

You would have to sue her, but if it is clear she owes you the money, you can seek an attachment prior to getting your judgment. This fixes your place in line. This is important if there is a chance she will dispose of the house or other creditors are after her.
