Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Legal options to fraud

I consigned my vehicle to a small car lot for sale. The vehicle was sold, title transferred but I was never paid. I am out $17,500. The two people involved have been arrested and are out on bail. There are 4 felony counts of fraud currently against them. The two perpetrators have no known assets or permanent addresses. But they do seem have to access to the money they need, when they need it. IE Bail money, food clothing, car payments, etc..

I have filed a claim against their business bond ($10,000) recently, but I am unsure what other legal options I might have for recourse?

Contact the district attorney's office and request that you are given notice if they enter into a plea bargain. If they get probation the court will order them to pay restitution. These payments are often slow and irregular, but most courts will keeping hounding them until they pay you in full.
