Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Is it legal for a resort ( st regis) to charge gratuity? I recently stayed and asked them to remove the bell gratuity off of one of my rooms since I had 2 rooms but only 2 people. ( I needed a connecting room in order to get a toddler to sleep)
They refused and made me feel uncomfortable for even inquiring. At the same time, the bell men accepted cash from me as a tip before I had the opportunity to be informed of this policy. Obviously, it was the principle of the situation that is bothering me.

They're con men. That's how they get rich. You actually paid gratuity twice. Don't stay there again, and leave a negative review.
