Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

What are My Liabilities

1 1/2 years ago, I kept my son-in-laws car in my driveway while he and my daughter began their tour of duty in Okinawa. I am going to move and need the car out of my way. They have since gotten a divorce, and she was transfferred back to the states, but she has no control of the car since their divorce. I have tried to get him to do something with the car since their divorce, but he has failed to take any action. I am ready to park it at the local market and let the county tow it away. What legal ramifications am I opening myself up to?

I would send him a registered or certified letter telling him of your plans and that, if you don't hear from him by X date, you will dispose of it as you see fit. See if you can get a signature for your letter.
