Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I live in central California. I was born with a condition called 'Marfans Syndrome' which my parents chose not to use our Blue Cross because of the deductable. Marfans #1 fixable and the most life changing which is called 'pectus excavatum' I encourage you to google pectus excavatum.

My step mother and I are not on speaking terms. My father passed away in 2001.

The lack of surgery is slowing killing me.

I am 47 now.

Thank you.

From what I understand, within several months a pre-existing condition will no longer be a reason to deny insurance coverage. Of course, that's not to say the rates won't be high.

You might speak with your county's social services department as well as disability rights and assistance groups, including Tall Clubs International, which has adopted Marfan Syndrome as a beneficiary (according to Wikipedia). Although I suspect you've investigated various means to assist you with your health needs, it always helps to have an advocate in your corner. I'm not sure what your question is, however.
