Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I made a special appearance at a motion to quash service of summons in a ud and won. The Plaintiff's attorney tried to serve me in the hall. Is his service valid?

Most likely it is. That's the trouble with a motion to quash. It never does anything but buy time. They always just reserve you.

The service is not necessarily invalid just because the attempt took place in the hallway of the courthouse. But congratulations on winning your Motion to Quash.

Yes, that is why filing a motion to quash service of a summons is a waste of time when you have notice of the lawsuit. It simply delays everything for a week or two.
