Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I was married for 24 years, I asked my husband to leave the home after years of emotional and psycological abuse. after one year of being separated he has not been a part of my boys lives and has left everything to me. he blames me for everything constantly. He now has had my boys and I removed from our home, in which I made all the payments, by an unlawful detainer. of course that was my fault too. I had to find a place to live near my sons school, he refused to pay me child support and start a new job. I am seriously stressed, I have lost weight, half of my hair has fallen out, and I am now drinking to ease the pain and suffering. I am trapped because he is living with another woman and I am all alone. I have a job that I am about to lose. I have been on a domestic violence leave for 12 weeks to save my son who was acting out horribily and now I am utterly exshausted. I believe that I may have Post traumatic stress that is what my doctor mentioned. My concentration levels are very low, I feel like I am in a fog all of the time, I cannot sleep, and rarely eat. Yet somehow I am still managing to care for my boys, I have lost all interest in friends and activities./and it seems that I have developed a fear that everyone is out to get me. I am scared. Please answer. Thank you.

You have rights to child support and, probably, spousal support and division of property that can be enforced. Please immediately consult with a family law attorney in your area. You can find a list of certified family law specialists at the California State Bar's website: http://members.calbar.ca.gov/search/ls_search.aspx

You need to speak with a local attorney asap. Here is another good referral source.

I'm sorry to hear about your ordeal. This situation has obviously been hard on your children as well as on you. It's hard to give you an answer, though, since you haven't asked a question.
I agree with Mr. Fox that you should speak with a family law attorney. You posted your inquiry under general civil litigation, where relatively few lawyers with the right expertise will see it. Perhaps you should re-post it under family law. It will reach the right kind of lawyers that way, though only after the five-day delay this site imposes on unpaid questions. In the meantime you may want to look for some local family lawyers on your own.
Good luck.
