Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

My neighbor has trees that come over my side of a wall (CA) They drop little balls (Ficus) all over my backyard. I have to sweep at least twice a day to keep these out of my drains. I spend $200.00 each year to have them cut back. In the 23 yrs I have lived here they never have cut back their trees. Are they responsible to cut them back? What can I do but spend money and time with trees I don't own?

I responded to a question similar to this last month. You have the right and responsibility to prune and trim the trees back to the property line. You neighbor can't come over and trespass on your property to prune his own trees.
