Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

My neighbor just trimmed my trees back to the property line which I understand is his right. He dumped all the limbs and debris over our joint wall onto my property. Can I hire someone to clean it up and then sue him for the cost? I am in S. California in the city of Rialto 92377.

Yes, you can. But I would suggest that you bring the problem to his attention before you spend the money to hire someone to remove the debris and sue him. If he takes care of it, you don't have to spend that money.
