Ex saying I owe money

My ex bought a computer that she gave to me when we separated and also had paid for some auto mechanic work while we were together. Now she says I owe her for the work and she wants the computer back. Does she have any legal right or do I have any legal obligation to pay or give these back?

It depends. Were you and your ex engaged to be married or were you just dating? Did you sign anything? Have you ever transacted business with your ex in this way before? You can probably handle the matter by paying an attorney a small fee to write a well worded cease and desist letter. Otherwise, simply wait and see if she is serious enough to sue. It would probably be a small claims matter. Good luck.
