Parking lot vehicle accident

I had a mishap with an 84 Maxima and told the guy I wouldn't pay more to fix his car than it took to fix my 95 F150.His 4 estimates all exceed the value of the vehicle by $200+.Maxima's worth $575.How much do I have to pay?It only cost $450 to fix mine.

Re: Parking lot vehicle accident

Thank you for your posting and inquiry.

The answer you seek depends on who is at fault. If you were at fault, which is not clear from your question, then you have to pay the value of the other party's damages, which is the cost to repair or the total value of the vehicle, whichever is less.

If you were not at fault, you do not have to pay anything.

I hope that this information helps, but if you have other questions, want more information, or feel that you need legal representation, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. Im happy to help in any way that I can.
