Use of my name without permission

I am running for a Homeowners Association board of director's position. One of the factions used my name on their slate of candidates without my permission. They also put it on a very malicious piece of campaign literature. Do I have a legal recourse to stop this?

Yes.

There are various torts related to unfair use of a person's name or image.

If false statements are made there could also be a claim for defamation.
