Pet lemon law

I sold a puppy to someone who after taking the puppy in her possesion she died 10 days later from Parvo. I have never received any paperwork & she is threatening to take me to court. Does she have a case against me since the puppy died on April 27, 09. I am not a breeder & this was my only litter. None of the other puppies got sick only hers.

I do not think you have liability based on what you said here. It is certainly an interesting question.

It looks to me like she would have to prove either breach of a warranty, which would not work because you are not a "merchant" or fraud -- that you knew the puppy was terminally ill.
