Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I was the plaintiff in a civil matter that went to trial. My attorney accepted The opposing counsel's offer to make copies of our exhibit binder (included high-quality color photos) for himself, the witness stand and for the judge. Our binder was returned 4 days before trial but had been altered. Our color photos were replaced with poor quality black and white photo-copies, email exhibits were enlarged to omit paragraphs containing damning statements by defendants and some exhibits were removed! I lost the trial and believe my attorney was negligent. Can anything be done?

You need to speak to a lawyer who handles legal malpractice claims. It is not possible to advise you in a forum like this as to whether a lawsuit against your former counsel will succeed. Indeed, it may be that your better claim is against the opposing counsel and the other party for tampering with your property. Much will turn on exactly what you can prove.

Best of luck to you.

That's going to be a tough case to prove.
