Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

post judgment interest rate on civil judgment

I am an attorney in Ohio and represent a client who has an unsatisfied judgment which he wants to collect which was rendered in California in 1993. I need to know what is the post judgment interest rate on judgments in the State of Califoria and whether the rate has changed since 1993. Additionally, it is my understanding that civil judgments are good for ten years. Is this information accurate? Thank you for your assistance.

interest rate for california

for california the interest rate on civil judgmentsis 10 percent per year. I do believe that judgments havea life of 10 years. I do not believe that the interest rate has changed since 1993. The best way to confirmthis information is to contact the clerk in the courtthe judgment was entered and inquire about the case.
