Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Postal Service Refuses to Deliver Mail

The postal service refuses to deliver mail. We have urban delivery to a mail slot for 50 years. My husband put a temporary mail box on gate as favor to carrier - we removed while on vacation and now new carrier has refused to deliver mail. We have gone to supervisor and customer advocate and after 2.5 months still no mail delivery unless we put back a box. Most mailboxes are slots in our neighborhood. How can we get mail delivered to our mail slot.

Re: Postal Service Refuses to Deliver Mail

Short of an act of Congress, it is very unlikely that you will go back to the old way of delivery. You've actually be very lucky to have received the mail slot service for so long. Sorry, but you'll need to put up a box.
