Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I prevailed as plaintiff in a small claims suit 3.5 years ago in Los Angeles. I also won their appeal. Defendant was apparently out of the country although he sent a representative to the original hearing. Defendant is back and wants to contest the judgement. Is it too late to challenge the case? Too late to claim he wasnt properly served?
