Proof of Service

Can a member of the family, who is not related to the documents, deliver the Proof of Service to the defendants in person as long as they are 18 yrs or older?

The term "related to the documents" is ambiguous, so I'm not sure what you are asking. Anyone over the age of 18 who is not a party to the case can serve documents, and family members are treated just like anyone else. If the particular family member you have in mind is also a party then she can't serve papers for you. Otherwise she can.

In addition to the rule that a party cannot serve documents, a person named as a protected person on a restraining order cannot also serve documents.
