Hello, great site! I am suimg a company for refusing (contempt) to comply with a court order garnishment( on an employee) the company has many different location,the writ was serve to the payroll manager in Long Beach,CA when i went to the county to see who to serve ( agent to accept process serve) it was the CEO of the company and that person and their office is in Oakland,CA. Question is do i serve that person? or do i serve the payroll manager who accepted the serve for the writ in Long Beach? also if i serve in Oakland does that mean i have to go to Oakland court to draw and sue there? the original claim was in Torrance, CA. thanks for all the help

Just to avoid the argument of improper service, I would suggest that you serve the CEO in Oakland. All you have to do is to contact the Oakland Sheriff's office and they will serve the CEO for a nominal fee. You may also check the internet yellow pages for process servers and fax your documents to them for service. Good luck.
