Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

property

i got computer w/ my credit for a bussiness partner. he said he would pay it off. give me a payment month by month he has not so im am forced to make the payment to have my credit in good standing. i asked for the computer back he said he was not going to give it back. he does not care im making the payment. the computer is in my name i have so far paid $750.00+ in payments the computer is worth $1200.00. what is my next step to geting my property back?
