Property Storage
I agreed to store my ex-husband's personal property in
my garage for a limited time as a favor to him while he
looked for another place. He has had it here for a while
now and I don't want that free storage arrangement to
continue indefinitely. I would like to give him writen
notice, including a specified date upon which I want his
property removed. If he doesn't have it removed by the
requested date, what are my rights? Do I have a legal
right to possesion of that property after that date that he
has been informed of in writing?

Send him the letter both by regular mail and certified mail, return receipt requested. Give him about 60 days. Then do one of the following:
1. Hold a garage sale and send him the proceeds, less expenses;
2. Donate the goods, get the charitable deduction in his name and send it to him.
