A Purchase between friends
My husband and I purchased furniture from a friend,
and after the fact she want a paper drawn up with high monthly payments, late fees and interest.
When this all took place she knew we would give her
one check for a few hundred dollars and then make monthly payments. But now she wants to dictate how our payments will go and for us to sign a paper her boyfiend/attorney had drawn up. We are more than happy to make monthly payments, but to begin with there were never any kind of papers drawn up. We are no longer on speaking terms, but I get letters weekly.

The verbal agreement that you made with her when you purchased the furniture is valid. Don't sign anything. If she wishes to terminate the contract than she can do it in court and refund your payments. The only terms you have to abide by are the original terms that you agreed to when you bought the furniture. dont sign anything from them. Just stick to the original agreement.
