Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
My question is long and requires explanation. I entered into an on-line freindship and relationship with someone. We have never met however we developed feelings for one another. I live in California and he lives in PA. I lied to him about who I was but he suspected I did and told me he knew I was kying. I kept denying it and this is where it gets complicated, I fell in love with him yet we had mutual friends who told me that he was dating another guy, the guy he dated ended up telling me, Throughout my relationship with this guy I sent him thousands of dollars and many gifts,
We have finaly confessed to each other the truth and I am asking him to return to me the money he claimed he needed for rent and food and utilities to me because he told me that the money was for rent at a place I had helped him obtain. He was lying to me and had in fact moved and continued to beg me to send him money because he was going to be evicted. He threatened suicide. I loved him and was scared so I sent him the money and now I find out he was lying. I have the texts and also have his bank account info on occassions when I sent him money.
Do I have a legal right to get back my money?

Just forget the person and get on with your life.
You have admitted that you give him gifts. Gifts do not change because he jilted you. I think your best bet is Judge Judy.
