Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I received a call from a collections agency indicating a complaint has been filed in
my local SF court, and I must contact him ASAP before there are cout actions. How should I respond.

You should be able to check the website for the court and determine whether a lawsuit was filed, and if so when. Get as much information as possible, and go see an attorney as soon as possible.
