Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I received a money judgment against the defendant a couple of years ago. The defendant never agreed to pay me the judgment and the collection agency did not get me any money except costing me more expenses.

Without first filing a memorandum of costs and 10% interest with the court, I filed for a writ of execution for the total judgment, and levied the defendants bank account. The levy was successful and I have just got my total judgment.

To continue my collection efforts to collect over two thousand dollars for the collection efforts and the interest, can I delay filing with the court the form for satisfaction of debts?

You don't have to file a satisfaction of judgment until the principal and all of the interest is paid. The problem in your situation is that the sheriff who did the levy may have already filed a satisfaction of judgment if your levy obtained all the money he was instructed to levy.
