Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I received a scholarship from a private foundation to attend a private college with a tuition of $45,000. the university accepted the award letter as a promise to pay. however the foundation has not paid and i'm being asked to pay. what can i do? i don't have the first semester's tuition which is $20,000. is it worth it to sue. i really don't have the funds to pay for a lawyer either. any suggestions?

The private foundation breached its agreement with you to pay the tuition. Perhaps a letter from an attorney would help. Have you investigated student loans in the interim, to tide you over? Please provide me by private e-mail all of the details if you would like me to write a letter on your behalf.
