Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
i received a summons from the plantiff but didn't respond, instead i spoke directly to the attorney for the plantiff. we set up payment arrangements and i have been making the payments. is it legal for the attorney to continue with court proceedings such as entry of default, and judgement. please help!!!

Depending upon your arrangement it would most likely not be proper as their has been an "accord and satisfaction" of the debt. I suggest you speak with an attorney asap in order to file the appropriate motion with the court.
