Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Recovery of Sanctions
If a defendant has been awarded sanctions, and the plaintiff does not pay, how does one go about recovering what is owed them? Does it work the same as with a judgment, where one can garnish wages or put a lien on their home? I happen to know that the plaintiff has unclaimed property in California -- can that be used to recover sanctions?

Yes. Petition the court to turn it into a judgment and then you can enforce it like any other judgment.
