Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Where can I get a "release" document for letting a neighbor's son ride my son's dirt bike? I'm not charging any money to use the bike, I just do not want to be sued by some neighbor or the health insurance company that paid the medical bills for the neighbor's kid if the neighbor's child gets hurt. I can find a general "waiver and assumption" but I'm not sure this is what I need. I can find a release for a rental company, but I'm not a business. Any Suggestions? Thank you.

You are right that you may want to have a waiver. Having a waiver is no guarantee agent a lawsuit won't ever happen.
The difficulty is that riding a dirt bike can be a dangerous activity that you should ensure that they have training in the bike and its operation.
I could help with a waiver...
You could always use google to find a standard release. The problem is that you may not know whether it is applicable in your state, for a minor, under these circumstances, whether there are exceptions, etc.
We don't usually find out we used the wrong thing until there is an injury - when it is too late.
