Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I replaced the entire carpert of my condominimum unit last year. My unit has been flooded because of the negligence of the owner upstairs. My insurance is fixing my unit. However, my insurance is not willing to replace the entire carpet of my unit and wants to replace the damaged portions with another carpert.

I do not want my condo to have different types of carpet in it. How can I resolve this issue?

Thank you.

You could file a lawsuit against your upstairs neighbor for negligence. Seek the cost of replacing the entire carpet.
