Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

roommate / furniture issue

My boyfriend and I broke up, and we were living together. He has several pieces of furniture, and some personal stuff that he left in my apartment. He moved out of state about a month ago, and I don't know legally what I am supposed to do with his stuff. Is there any way you can help.
