Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
My former roommate quit her job last November and move away which stopped the garnishment payments. After two years of not having contact, I asked her sister and brother to have her contact me because of an outstanding court order that needs to be honored. She received the messege and went onto facebook to announce, "if (my full name) tells you that she is my friend and tries to be your FB friend block her asap. She is NOT my friend but is a STALKER and has been spreading lies about me to my family and friends". This is untrue! To call me a STALKER on a public forum and getting replies like; "that's not good, you can report people like her" is slander, right? I have never stalked her, we have not had any communication for two years. Now I am labled as a stalker on Facebook. What if my employer sees that? What if the Federal gov't sees this? So many bad things could happen. How can I legally handle this?
