Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
When Roommates Open Your Mail
My roommates are opening bills
addressed to me and then publicly
announcing on the internet that my
bills are due. What can be done to stop
this, and what can be done legally to
enforce punishment for this violation?

Re: When Roommates Open Your Mail
Print out ther evidence and take them to small claims court for $7500 each. Also write to the US Postal Inspector in care of your local post office.

Re: When Roommates Open Your Mail
It is a federal crime to open someone else's mail without their permission.
Your Postmaster General will prosecute if you press charges.
